Regional Coach of the Year
St. Augustine’s Brendan Johnston has been named Regional Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Johnston, who has guided the Saints to three San Diego Section titles and two runner-up finishes in the past nine years, joins seven other regional finalists in the running for National Coach of the Year.
St. Augustine, a Southern California Regional champion last year, began this season with a 5-0-1 record.
